Warren Woods is contiguous to the Ashland State Park, the Holliston Town Forest and the Massachusetts Audubon Society Waseeka Bird Sanctuary.
These magnificent woods, cared for by Northeastern University, are a unique combination of wetlands, uplands, open meadows and full forest. In addition to its natural beauty, the Warren Woods has a great ecological and environmental value.
• It provides thousands of acres of unbroken and intact habitat for hundreds of species of wildlife and birds.
• As a "carbon sink," it works to slow global climate change by absorbing carbon from the air.
• It also replenishes the groundwater supply for the area and serves to reduce runoff, a major source of water pollution.
